Fowl Mood specializes in 2 to 4 man duck hunting groups. We hunt a variety of privately-owned flooded grain fields, cypress and willow brakes, oxbow lakes, rivers, green timber and commercial catfish ponds.
Rice and soybean fields are prevalent. As any duck hunter knows, rice fields are waterfowl magnets. Farming operations are managed to achieve maximum yields for both grain and the overwintering of waterfowl. These fields also attract whitetail deer.
Mossy Island Outfitters is filled with over 22,000 acres of flooded timber, rice, corn, and bean fields along with small brakes. We offer an excellent habitat for all our game birds. We have large amounts of land set aside as feeding and resting areas.
